GRAVHOUNDS Crossplay: Which Platforms Can Play Together?

Crossplay by Platform

This is what the developer FAQ says as of November 6, 2026, a few days after the Early Access launch on November 2.

• Xbox Series X|S ↔ Xbox on PC: crossplay supported.
• Steam ↔ Steam: online co-op for 1–4 players.
• Steam ↔ Xbox (console or PC app): not supported at this time.
• PlayStation and Switch: the game is not announced for them.

Why Steam Is Separate

The pinned developer FAQ on Steam states that Steam is currently a separate player community. The Xbox store page lists Xbox cross-platform multiplayer and co-op, but that label covers Xbox devices only: consoles and the Xbox app on Windows.

Some third-party sites list full Steam and Xbox crossplay. That contradicts the developer FAQ, so we follow the developer until an official patch note says otherwise. GameDaily's launch guide also reports that Steam players cannot cross over to Xbox yet.

Picking a Version for Your Group

If your friends play on Xbox consoles or Game Pass, buy or play through the Xbox side, including Game Pass on PC. If they play on Steam, everyone needs the Steam version. You cannot mix the two in one session.

Game Pass covers the Xbox Game Preview from day one; the Steam version is sold separately. See our Game Pass guide for what is included.

Co-op Rules That Apply Everywhere

Every version supports 1–4 player online co-op. Multiplayer requires a connection, while solo play works offline. Online play on Xbox consoles also needs a Game Pass Essential, Premium or Ultimate subscription, which is standard Xbox policy.

Split-screen is a separate question; see our local co-op guide. For the solo route, read the story mode guide.
